BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Khin Maung Aye, 40, is the founder of LatWar Group. He has held honored positions in industry and employer associations, including as executive committee member of the Myanmar Garment Manufacturer Association, chairman of the Township Garment Employer Association of Hlaing Thar Yar Township, and member of the National Research and Advisor Committee for Minimum Wages. Dr. Khin possesses vast experience in the local property market and has been a consultant to multiple developers and enterprises.

Dr. Khin joined the family-owned Union Rubber Factory in 1990. Between 1995 and 1999, he was in the real estate business as an active agent and private investor. In 1999, Dr. Khin established Lat War Co. Ltd., a garment manufacturing business. In 2009, he entered into the property development industry, and he has co developed a few residential projects located in the heart of Yangon city. In 2010, he acquired a 10,000-square-meter garment factory and invested nearly US$4millionto expand Lat War’s Group business. In 2013, Dr. Khin leased and took over the operation of a paper factory from the Ministry of Industry.

Dr. Khin graduated from the University of Medicine 1, Yangon, in 2001 with an MBBS.
