BIOGRAPHY
Charles Redding is director of operations and business deve-lopment for Akzent,in charge of customs operations, logistics implementation, and business processes. He has had extensive experience in management of customs brokerages and logistics since 1999. Before Akzent, he held the title of general manager at CEVA Logistics, managing complex warehouse and logistics operations for important manufacturers operating in Mexico.
Mr. Redding has a BA in international business from the University of Tennessee.
Akzent
Akzent offers Mexican and international clients door-to-door service with a wide variety of transportation options. The company has a tradition of serving clients that have special requirements, and it makes a point of providing scheduled, on-time delivery.
Internationally, the company offers complete service by sea and air, including collection, storage, consolidation, customs clearance, and freight from and to any port or airport around the world. Akzent also provides both regular and expedited ground transportation services within Mexico and to the United States and Canada in truckloads ranging from 12 ft. to 53 ft., with the option of specialized equipment for oversized and/or overweight cargo.
In all shipments, be they by land, sea, or air, the goods are tracked by the company’s own online monitoring system.
Akzent is headquartered in San Pedro Garza García, just south of Monterrey, and has Mexican offices in Altamira, Nuevo Laredo, Manzanillo, and Mexico City. There is also a U.S. office in Laredo, Texas.
