BIOGRAPHY
Mr. Doehner has held various executive positions within CEMEX since 1996, in areas including strategic planning, strategic intelligence, and business relating to company operations in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, South America, and Mexico. He is currently vice president for corporate affairs and business risk management.
After earning a degree in economics at Monterrey Tec (ITESM), Mr. Doehner was awarded a master’s degree in business administration by the IPADE Business School in Mexico, which is associated with the International Graduate School of Management (IESE) at Spain’s University of Navarra. Later, he completed studies in corporate intelligence at the Fuld-Gilad-Herring Academy of Competitive Intelligence in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Mr. Doehner has also worked in the public sector, within the president’s office, where he was involved in coordinating the Citizenship Alliance (Alianza Ciudadana), and he has also been very involved in CEMEX’s major commitment to countering the spread of drugs and drug-related violence.

CEMEX produces, distributes, and sells cement, ready-mix concrete, aggregates, and related building materials in more than 50 countries throughout the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. It owns or has participation in 69 cement plants and has 1,899 ready-mix concrete facilities, 371 aggregate quarries, 221 land-distribution centers, and 69 marine terminals.
The CEMEX Global Center for Technology and Innovation in Switzerland researches sustainable construction and new and enhanced materials. Company technicians use a wide range of research tools and specially developed in-house testing methods to address questions of sustainability and improve construction materials.
The company is playing a prominent part in encouraging and leading civic actions against the spread of drugs and drug-related violence in Mexico, with a particular emphasis on the Monterrey region and Nuevo León State. Several senior executives have moved over to the public sector to reinforce state and federal government efforts in areas such as coordination of border security, countering police corruption, and helping coordinate actions between the state and federal governments and military forces.
