U Zaw Naing Thein (Henry) is the vice chairman of the Supreme Group of Companies, whose focuses include power transmission, power generation,and project engineering/trading. He is also the CEO of Supreme Trading Company Ltd, Primus Construction and Development Co. Ltd.,and Supreme Power Generation Co. Ltd. After graduatingfrom Yangon University, Henry helped found the Supreme Group of Companies. A strategic young entrepreneur, hehas gained progressive leadership experience by undertaking more than500 local and foreign projects.He hasmore thanfifteenyears of experience in business development, production management, and project development.
Some of the Supreme Group’skey business partners include Daewoo International (Korea), IEC (Israel’sstate-ownedelectric power corporation), Mekorot(Israel’s national water company), Sinohydro Corporation (China), and Toshiba Corporation(Japan). The company’s latest achievement includes apartnership with an American power company, APR, to build an 82-megawattgas-powered plant to supply Myanmarwith much-needed electricity.
Henryis actively involved in nationwide non-business and business organizations, as a central executive committee member of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce andIndustry (UMFCCI); aschairperson of the Investment Promotion Committee (UMFCCI); ascentral executive committee member of the Myanmar Industries Association (MIA); asexecutive committee member of the Waste/Environmental Protection and Renewable Energy Development Sub-Committee (MIDC); and as executive committee member of the Myanmar Young Entrepreneurs Association (MYEA).
